2025 Mid-Year Impact Report: Innoverge Education Team

At a Glance:

  • 250+ students impacted through local and international programming
  • 13 original interdisciplinary workshops developed and delivered
  • Programming expanded across both in-person and virtual platforms
  • Continued partnership with Meaningful Teens in Haryana, India

Educational Initiatives: January–June 2025

This year, the Innoverge Education Team continued its mission to provide innovation-focused, accessible learning experiences to young students worldwide. Our team developed and facilitated a series of workshops, each designed to spark curiosity and introduce new fields of knowledge.

Format and Locations:

  • Virtual Delivery (Haryana, India):

Through our ongoing partnership with Meaningful Teens, Innoverge facilitated a weekly series of virtual workshops for students in Haryana, India. Nine live Zoom sessions were held, each averaging 20 participants.

Workshops included:

  • Introduction to Artificial Intelligence
  • Behavioral Psychology in Movies
  • The Science of Dreams and Sleep
  • Ecology and Environmental Sustainability
  • Paleontology and Fossils
  • Forensics and Crime Scene Science
  • Creative Problem Solving through Engineering Design
  • Standardized Testing Tips
  • Art and Visual Storytelling

Despite the virtual format, sessions were designed for active participation through live polls, breakout discussions, student-led reflections, and guided activities. Students engaged with new ideas  and developed confidence across a range of disciplines.

  • In-Person Delivery (Palos Verdes Peninsula Library, California):

The in-person program followed a STEM Discovery Lab model—a series of stand-alone, hands-on science and technology workshops designed to spark curiosity and make complex topics approachable for younger learners. Delivered in a local library in California, the program reached over 100 students through five sessions.

Each week, students explored a different area of STEM through interactive activities and creative projects:

1: Video Game Design & Scratch Coding

Students were introduced to the basics of computer science using Scratch. They explored game logic, loops, and animations before creating and sharing their own mini-games in a collaborative setting.

2: Exploring the Ocean Floor – Benthic Organisms

This session focused on deep-sea ecosystems and the organisms that inhabit them. Students discussed ocean biodiversity and created imaginative benthic species adapted to underwater environments.

3: Pycnogonida Pipe Cleaner Creatures

After learning about Pycnogonida (sea spiders), students used pipe cleaners and beads to construct their own anatomically inspired models, combining marine biology with hands-on creativity.

4: Sea Lions and Marine Mammal Adaptations

Students explored the lives of sea lions, focusing on their adaptations, behaviors, and conservation status. Activities included a role-playing survival game and group discussions on marine ecology.

Palos Verdes Peninsula Library—site of the in-person program.

Our goal is to give students the chance to explore topics they might not encounter in school, from forensics to AI to the science of dreams. By introducing a wide range of subjects and encouraging discussion, we help students think across disciplines, ask better questions, and gain the confidence to share their ideas.
